1) Young Muslims - The Message

And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to hisparents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship uponweakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years. Givethanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the finaldestination. (Sura Luqman 31: 14) But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worshipwith Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obeythem not, but behave with them in this world kindly, and followthe path of him who turns to Me in repentance and inobedience. Then to Me will be your return, and I shall tell youwhat you used to do. (Sura Luqman 31 : 15) And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to hisparents. His mother bears him with hardship and she brings himforth with hardship, and the bearing of him, and the weaning ofhim is thirty (30) months. When he attains full strength andreaches forty years, he says: “My Lord! Grant me the power andability that I may be grateful for Your favor which You havebestowed upon me and upon my parents and that I may dorighteous (good) deeds, such as please You, and make my offspringgood. Truly, I have turned to you in repentance, and truly,I am one of the Muslims (submitting to Your Will).” (Sura Al-Ahqaf 46 : 15) And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. Andthat you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both ofthem attain old age in your life, say not to them a word ofdisrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms ofhonor. (Sura Al-Isra 17 : 23) Say (O Muhammad, SAW): “Come, I will recite what your Lordhas prohibited you from: Join not anything in worship with Him;be good and dutiful to your parents; kill not your childrenbecause of poverty.
