Increase me inknowledge (Sura Ta-Ha: 114)Islamic Manners/Etiquettes(Islamic Adab)Islam is not a religion full of prayers and rituals only; Islam is acomplete code of life that teaches and emphasizes on spiritual,personal, familial, and social pattern of behavior and interaction aswell. <strong>The</strong>se are called ADAB or Manners. In addition, there are Adab(manners) regulating the affairs of the state too. <strong>The</strong>se Adab orManners are all-inclusive, covers the life of the <strong>Muslims</strong> from birthto death. This is Islamic culture which is distinct from other cultures(religions, social, familial or national culture of a country). Islamicculture (Adab) gives the <strong>Muslims</strong> a distinct identity in all affairs oflife. As <strong>Muslims</strong>, we should feel proud of our Islamic culture.<strong>The</strong> Qur’an and the authentic Hadith of our beloved ProphetMuhammad (blessing and peace be upon him) have given the<strong>Muslims</strong> details of the Adab (manners) encompassing all aspects oflife. A Muslim, who practices these Adab with sincerity on a dailybasis, is loved by Allah. On the other hand, a Muslim who neglectsthese manners will tend to drift away from Islam, and become aperson far away from the Grace of Allah.
