On December 31, 1811, Robert Brooksmarried his first cousin, Frances Baugh (1.1.11) in Putman County, Georgia.Frances was born between 1790 and 1800 and is the daughter of Daniel Baughand Lucy (Brooks) Baugh. In 1820, Robert and Frances Brooks were living inWilkinson County, Georgia. From 1830 to 1840, they lived in Talbot County,Georgia. Robert and Frances Brooks were the parents of at least seven children:............Daniel Baugh Brooks (2.4.1), b. 1814, Georgia............Balsarah Brooks (2.4.2), b. 1816, Georgia............Jordan Clinton Brooks (2.4.3), b. In 1850, Robert and Frances (Landrum) Brooks were living in TalbotCounty, Georgia. Daniel was born around 1814 in Georgia. On December 26,1835(?), Daniel Baugh Brooks married Georgia Caroline Paul in Bibb County,Georgia. According to Mary Fox Hudson, Daniel and Caroline Brooks had “afamily disagreement” and “Mrs. Paul took her only daughter away from her husbandto her home and he flew in his hot temper and joined the army.” On November15, 1835, Daniel Brooks appointed his father, Robert Brooks, guardianof his infant daughter, “about 13 or 14 months old.” On December 22, 1835,Daniel Brooks joined Winn’s Company of the Georgia volunteers to fight in theTexas Revolution.
