Ed was previously married to Betty Jean Simmons and theyhad two children: Valerie Jean Voorhis and Wilson Edgar “Will” Voorhis, III.Ed joined the Army Air Corps and was a tail-gunner on a B-26 during WorldWar II. His plane was shot down and was as a prisoner of war at Stalag IVB fornine months. Ed served in combat in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He receivednumerous decorations including a Purple Heart, three Bronze Battle Stars,Air Medal, POW Medal and Outstanding Airman. Ed retired with 25 years ofservice with the Air Force. After retiring from the military, he graduated fromRose St. College with degrees in accounting and history. Birch retired in Juneof 1979 with 25 years of Federal Civil Service. Ed Voorhis died on April 18,1999 in Del City, Oklahoma and was buried in the Sunnylane Cemetery in DelCity, Oklahoma. In the summer of1970, Gregg received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from SouthwesternState University located in Weatherford, Oklahoma. From 1971 to present,Gregg has been a Sales Representative for an Oklahoma City steelfabricator. Gregg and Priscilla Blair are the parents of one daughter:............Susan Katherine Blair, b.
