March 23, 1875, Wimberley, Texas............Joseph Hill, b. 1877, TexasEli Hill served as a Texas Ranger from February, 1862 until February, 1863.From February, 1863 to the close of the Civil War in 1865, Eli Hill also servedin the Confederate Army under Captain Henry Davis of Company F, 33rd TexasCavalry. According to the pension application of Eli Hill, he lived in BlancoCounty, Texas from 1883 until 1901 (but was in the 1900 census of HaysCounty, Texas). From 1900 to 1930, Eli and Nannie Hill were living in HaysCounty, Texas. Eli Hill served on the Hays County Commissioners Court andserved as the Justice of the Peace in Hays County, Texas for eighteen years. EliHill died on March 21, 1931 in Texas and was buried in the Wimberley Cemetery.In 1941, Nannie (Mays) Hill was living in Austin, Texas.
