Sallie was born on July 2, 1856 in TalbotCounty, Georgia. On December 1, 1875, Sally Lumpkin married Frederick WilsonHill in Talbot County, Georgia. Frederick was born on November 9, 1852in Georgia and is the son of William Hill and Elmira Hill. Frederick andRebecca Hill lived in Rock Mills, Alabama.............Jessie May Hand Hill, b. 1886, Rock Mills, AlabamaFrom 1880 to 1900, Frederick and Sallie Hill were living in Randolph County,Alabama. Federick Hill worked in a cotton mill where his father was the superintendent.Frederick Hill died on March 9, 1930 in Rock Mills, Alabama andSallie (Lumpkin) Hill died on August 23, 1938 in Georgia. Both were buried inthe Rock Mills Cemetery. On June 14, 1914, Jessie Hill married Willie OtisMiddlebrooks in Heard County, Georgia. Willie was born on May 12, 1895 inHeard County, Georgia and was the son of Edward Milton Middlebrooks andWillie Savannah (Cornett) Middlebrooks. Willie’s sister, Lilla AnnMiddlebrooks, married Jessie May Hill’s first cousin, Lovick Marvin Stewart(2.4.2.8.2). Willie O. Jordan was born on February 20, 1819 in Georgia. On June30, 1841, Jordan Clinton Brooks married Elizabeth Mims in Talbot County,Georgia. Elizabeth was born on April 18, 1822 in Georgia. Jordan and ElizabethBrooks were the parents of eight children:............Mary Brooks, b. 1842, Georgia............Eugene Brooks, b. 1847, Georgia............Czarina Jane Brooks (2.4.3.3), b. March 9, 1850, Georgia............Robert Arthur Brooks, b. 1853............Alexander Jordan Brooks (2.4.3.5), b. March 11, 1857, Claiborne Par., Louisiana............C. Y. November 7, 1868, LouisianaIn 1850, Jordan and Elizabeth Brooks were living in Talbot County, Georgia.Around 1854, Jordan and Elizabeth Brooks moved to what was then ClaiborneParish, Louisiana (today this area is part of Webster Parish, Louisiana). In 1860,Jordan Clinton Brooks and family were living in Bell County, Texas. He livedlong enough in Texas to make up his mind to move back to Louisiana. It hasbeen said that he nearly froze to death in a Texas Norther from which he neverfully recovered. Jordan Brooks was a farmer and a school teacher. Elizabeth(Mims) Brooks died in 1869. In February of 1870, Jordan Clinton Brooks diedin Chourdant, Louisiana in what was then located in Jackson Parish. Jordan’sdeath left his children as orphans. In 1870, Alexander and Mary Jane Sandersonwere living in Jackson Parish, Louisiana with several of Jordan’s children livingwith them. Eugene Brooks died prior to 1860.
