Conrad was born on August 11, 1901 on his parent’sfarm in Washita County, Oklahoma. Conrad died on January 28, 1922 of an abscessof the liver. Also before the war, Bryan farmed with his father in WashitaCounty, Oklahoma. During the war, Bryan and his wife worked in a defenseplant in California. After the war, he returned to Oklahoma and again workedon his father’s farm. Bryan Brooks died on November 11, 1951 and was buriedin the Canute Cemetery. On July 3, 1956, Joella married a second time to FrancisClay “Buster” Vaught and they live in Elk City, Oklahoma.
