Jane was born on March 9, 1850 in Georgia. OnFebruary 1, 1872, Jane Brooks married Thomas Washington Pipes. Thomas wasborn on February 4, 1849 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana and is the son of CharlesPipes (born 1826 in Mississippi) and Carmandel (Kemp) Pipes (born 1829 inLouisiana). Thomas and Jane Pipes were the parents of ten children:............Arthur Pipes (2.4.3.3.1), b. March 3, 1873, Douglas, Louisiana............Beulah Pipes, b. March 21, 1875, Douglas, Louisiana............Eldridge Pipes, b. February 16, 1877, Douglas, Louisiana............Fannie Elma Pipes, b. Thomas Pipes was a Methodist minister and served the church atEros, Louisiana, a sawmill town in the eastern edge of Jackson Parish. Thomaswas also a merchant and ran the only merchantile store in the community ofEros. In 1909, a fire broke out in the mill and destroyed the town of Eros. Afterthe fire, Thomas and Jane Pipes moved to Shreveport, Louisiana whereThomas engaged in a contracting business. Jane (Brooks) Pipes died on December22, 1916 in Shreveport, Louisiana and and was buried there in the GreenwoodCemetery. Thomas W. Pipes died on January 24, 1921. On December 28,1897, Beulah Pipes married Charles L. Elliot. Beulah (Pipes) Elliot died on September22, 1936. Eldridge Pipes never married and died on June 8, 1898. OnDecember 17, 1899, Fannie Pipes married Clarence Edward Pipes (born August28, 1879). Clarence Pipes died on March 15, 1934 and Fannie (Pipes) Pipesdied on January 7, 1957. On March 6, 1905, Lucile Pipes married Edgar BartonWard and they have two children: - Royce Welton Ward, - Lucille Ward.Charles Marvin Pipes never married. On December 23, 1906, Alexander Pipesmarried Emma Lucile Bell (born November 1, 1886). Emma (Bell) Pipes diedon August 8, 1965. Nettie Lee Pipes died young on December 8, 1902 and wasburied in the Douglas Cemetery in Douglas, Louisiana. On November 1, 1918,Thomas Pipes, Jr. married Mamie Miller (born March 6, 1893) and they had oneson: - Thomas Durwood Pipes. Thomas Pipes, Jr. died on August 29, 1961.
