On October 9, 1833,Balsarah Brooks married Dickerson Lumpkin, III in Talbot County, Georgia.Dickerson Lumpkin, III was born on September 29, 1812 in Jones County, Georgiaand is the son of Dickerson Lumpkin, Jr. and Charlotte Frances Lumpkin.Dickerson Lumpkin, Jr. was a veteran of the Revolutionary War.
