Balsarah was born in 1816 in Georgia. On October 9, 1833,Balsarah Brooks married Dickerson Lumpkin, III in Talbot County, Georgia.Dickerson Lumpkin, III was born on September 29, 1812 in Jones County, Georgiaand is the son of Dickerson Lumpkin, Jr. and Charlotte Frances Lumpkin.Dickerson Lumpkin, Jr. was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. From 1840 to1880, Balsarah and Dickerson Lumpkin lived in Talbot County, Georgia.Dickerson and Balsarah Lumpkin were the parents of at least nine children:............Robert Dickerson Lumpkin (2.4.2.1), b. 1835, Talbot County, Georgia............Charlotte Frances Lumpkin (2.4.2.2), b.
