Abner was born on April 6, 1836 in Georgia. OnSeptember 4, 1856, Abner Perkins married Elizabeth Ann Adams in StewartCounty, Georgia. Betsy was born on June 12, 1840 in Georgia and is the daughterof Robert Sloan Adams and Betsey Ann (Mizell) Adams. Abner Perkins, Sr. died on November 3, 1913and was buried in the Providence Cemetery in Stewart County, Georgia. BetseyAnn (Adams) Perkins died on November 10, 1924 and was buried in theLumpkin Cemetery in Stewart County, Georgia. Samuel was born on December 23, 1845 in StewartCounty, Georgia and is the son of Richard Worthington and Penelope (Abbott)Worthington. Samuel’s brother, William, married Ella Perkins, daughter ofIsham Perkins (2.6.5). Samuel had previously married Levanda V. Adams onOctober 5, 1869 and they had two children: Bulah Worthington (born March,1870) and name unknown. Levanda died on January 3, 1874.
