<strong>General</strong> <strong>Reference</strong> <strong>Guide</strong>Upgrading the <strong>eWON</strong> firmware9.3 Upgrading the <strong>eWON</strong> firmware by a direct uploadThe <strong>eWON</strong>’s firmware can also be upgraded using FTP.Just download the <strong>eWON</strong> firmware file (ewonfwr.edf) corresponding to your <strong>eWON</strong> type form our web site (http://www.ewon.biz), and put this fileon your <strong>eWON</strong> using FTP.You can do this using any FTP client program, just be sure that you use the binary transfer mode and not ASCII.If you don't have a FTP client program, you can download the SmartFTP tool available on our Web site http://www.ewon.biz.To upgrade the <strong>eWON</strong> firmware using for example SmartFTP as FTP client, please follow the following instructions:• Start the SmartFTP program.• Type in the <strong>eWON</strong> IP address in the "URL" field, the user name in the "Login" field and the user password in the "Password" field.Figure 138: Connection to <strong>eWON</strong> through SmartFTP• Click on the “Connect” icon in the SmartFTP window to connect to the <strong>eWON</strong> with the parameters that you entered.
