These include:• Materials and Processes Laboratory• Structures, Dynamics and Thermal Vacuum Laboratory• National Center for Advanced ManufacturingMaterials and Processes Laboratory(Building 4612) at MSFCMaterials and Processes Laboratory, west elevation.(Source: Archaeological Consultants, Inc., 2006)• Originally built in 1959; 1965 addition• Previously determined NRHP-eligibleunder non-SSP context• Premier testing facility for materialsscience and analysis in support of the SSP• Eligible under NRHP Criterion A.Research here has contributedsignificantly to the development andimprovement of materials whichconstitute the major components of theSpace Shuttle vehicle.
