ExpensesTuition RefundsTuition refunds are made through Business Servicessubsequent to a student’s withdrawal from a course(s).Refunds of fees are authorized according to the followingprocedures only if the student officially withdraws from theCollege and/or drops courses in the required manner:1. The $30 registration fee and the $30 application feeare non-refundable.2. Class days are determined by the College calendarof instructional days, not by the student’s classschedule.3. Refunds for withdrawal or dropping a class forcourses for summer semester are computed on apro-rated basis.Course drop/adds apply to students making course schedulechanges but remaining in attendance at the College:1. An individual course dropped will be refundedat 100% for the first 15 days of the semester orhalf semester in which the course begins.2. Beginning the 16th instructional day of the semesteror half semester in which the course begins, norefunds will be made.3. A processing fee of $10 will be assessed to drop acourse after the 15th day of the course or to add acourse after the 5th day of the course.Withdrawal from school applies only to students droppingall courses: (Registration and Application Fees are nonrefundable.)• 100% of all remaining tuition and fees arerefunded before the first class day of the semester orhalf semester in which the course begins.• 90% of all remaining fees will be refundedto the end of the 5th day of the semester or halfsemester in which the course begins.• 75% of all remaining fees will be refunded tothe end of the 10th instructional day of the semesteror half semester in which the course begins.• 50% of all remaining fees will be refunded tothe end of the 15th instructional day of the semesteror half semester in which the course begins.• Beginning the 16th instructional day of the semesteror half semester in which the course begins, norefunds will be made.UM-Helena College of Technology 2011 - 2012 Academic Catalog 17
