Local Area 2: Keilor districtArea 2 comprises the small areas of Keilor Park and Keilor-Taylors Lakes (East).PopulationThe district housed approximately 11,214 residents in 2006. By 2021, thepopulation is expected to decrease by more than 300 people to 10,913 (an averageannual rate of –0.18% per annum over 15 years).Although the district is expected to have an increase of over 200 householdsbetween 2006 and 2021, the average household size is expected to decline from2.91 to 2.69 residents, causing a fall in the district’s total population.The largest resident age group was 55–59 year olds in 2006, with 962 persons.
