Local Area 5: Sunshine districtArea 5 comprises the small areas of Ardeer, Albion, Sunshine, Sunshine North andSunshine West.PopulationThe district housed approximately 42,422 people in 2006. By 2021, the populationis expected to increase by over 9,300 people to 51,788 (an average growth rate of1.34% per annum over 15 years).The district is expected to have an increase of over 3,700 households between2006 and 2021 and the average household size is expected to decline from 2.73 to2.69 residents.The largest resident age group was 25-29 year olds with 3,356 persons in 2006. By2021, the largest age group will be 35-39 year olds, with 4,199 persons.
