Controls & Modes<strong>Mark</strong> <strong>Levinson</strong>Balance (continued)The balance control facilitates precise adjustments in 0.1dBincrements between 0.1 and 20.0dB. When the balance offsetexceeds 20.0dB, the Nº 320S mutes the channel outputting thelower signal level.To adjust the left-to-right channel balance of the main outputconnectors:1. Press and release the front panel or remote control balancebutton to open the balance control on the front panel displayas shown to the left.• The front panel balance LED lights red to indicate thatthe balance control is open.4-42. Rotate the front panel volume knob or press the remotecontrol volume ± buttons to make the desired adjustments.• Rotate the volume knob clockwise or press the volume +button to decrease the output level of the left channel.The balance control appears as shown to the left to indicatethat balance is offset in favor of the right channel.• Rotate the volume knob counterclockwise or press thevolume – button to decrease the output level of the rightchannel. The balance control appears as shown to the leftto indicate that balance is offset in favor of the leftchannel.• Select the 0.0 setting to balance the output levels of theleft and right channels, allowing both channels to outputat the same level. The balance control appears as shownto the left to indicate that balance is centered between theleft and right channels.3. When the desired adjustments have been made, press andrelease the balance button to close the balance control.• Otherwise, the balance control automatically closes a fewseconds after the last command is received. If this occurs,the selected setting is automatically applied.• The front panel balance LED remains lit if the left-to-rightchannel balance of the main output connectors is offset.NoteAll Nº 320S volume controls, including master volume andbalance, are deactivated when SSP mode (page 4-8) isactivated.
