Nº 320S Controls & ModesTo activate and use SSP mode:1. Make sure the Nº 320S and all associated components arepowered off and disconnected from electrical outlets.2. Connect the output connectors on the surround sound sourcecomponent to the input connectors on the surround soundprocessor.• For example, if this source component is a DVD player,connect the output connectors on the DVD player to theinput connectors on the processor.3. Connect the center, surround, and subwoofer output connectorson the processor to the appropriate input connectors on thepower amplifier(s).4. Connect the front left and right output connectors on theprocessor to the desired stereo input connectors on theNº 320S.• For best performance, use balanced (XLR) connectionswhenever possible.5. Connect the main output connectors on the Nº 320S to theappropriate input connectors on the power amplifier(s).4-9• A balanced (XLR) connection between the Nº 320S andthe associated power amplifier will offer the highest possibleperformance with the best protection against RFinterference and other common mode noise.CAUTIONBEFORE ACTIVATING SSP MODE, SET THE ASSOCIATEDSURROUND SOUND PROCESSOR VOLUME CONTROL TOA REASONABLE LEVEL TO PREVENT SENDINGDANGEROUS SIGNAL LEVELS TO THE LOUDSPEAKERS.6. Using the Nº 320S, rotate the front panel select knob or pressthe remote control select ± buttons to select the input forwhich the stereo input connector selected in step 3 isassigned.• The front panel display indicates the name and volumelevel of the selected input.(continued)
