Table 18.9 provides information on the percentage of girls and boys age 12-14 who receiveinformation on HIV/AIDS at various places during the 12 months before the survey according tobackground characteristics. School plays a key role in providing information to children age 12-14; 83percent of children say that they receive information on HIV/AIDS in schools, 45 percent from healthfacilities, and 37 percent from religious meetings. Girls are more likely to have received this informationthan boys. For instance, 85 percent of girls and 81 percent of boys had received information from school.HIV/AIDS information from youth clubs is more accessible to youth in urban areas (31 percent) than toyouth in rural areas (14 percent). There are no major regional variations in places where HIV/AIDSinformation can be accessed.Youth | 285
