There are large differentials by residence. For both rural men and women, urban residentsconsistently have higher levels of education. For instance, the median years completed for urban womenis 7.8 years, whereas for women in rural areas it is only 4.7 years. For men, the corresponding proportionis 8.0 and 3.9 years, respectively. Across regions, men and women in Manzini are better educated thanthose in other regions. On the other hand, men and women in Lubombo are the least educated. Asexpected, educational attainment is positively related to the wealth status of the household.
