Nik Malik is the co-fondeur of Malik Lip & associates, a pioneering landscape architecture and environmental<br />

planning consultancy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company has been associated<br />

with various prestigious, high profile and award winning completed project in Malaysia and abroad since 1983.<br />

Both and Architect and Landscape Architect by traning, Nik Malik obtained his degree in Architecture from the<br />

University of Western Australia (1974) and Master of Art in Landscape Architecture, University of sheffield,<br />

England (1979).<br />

His contribution to the growth and development of the landcape architecture field is in both the professional<br />

pratice and in area of education.His contribution in educational field is in his capacity as ajunct professor,<br />

member of Board of Studies and Visiting Lecturerto various local universities offering Landscapes Architecture<br />

programs.<br />

Nik Malik is also a member of the advisory Panel in the National Landscape Department, Ministry of Housing &<br />

Local Government & Prime Minister’s Department as well as the Department of skills Development, Ministery<br />

of Human Resources Malaysia. In 2007, Nik Malik was awarded the ILAM Honorary Award conferred by the<br />

Institute of Landscape Architecture Malaysia.<br />
