Relentless Knives inventory seems geared
more towards the military specialties and I
recommend checking out their M1 Interceptor¸
M1 Commando, and M9 Sniper models optioned
with the appropriate alloy for your needs.
Whichever knife that you choose, you must make
sure that it fits your needs and environment as
well as your budget.
Unless you foresee a need to rip out
someone’s windpipe or pierce their lungs and
heart repeatedly – which all long and thin knives
are quite capable of doing – I would concentrate
on the utility aspects of possessing an edged
weapon. Meaning, of course, that your blade will
find its most effectiveness out where food,
clothing, and shelter would be more valuable than
dispensing with a villain who would be better
dispatched with a heavy hitting bullet.
Should you find yourself behind enemy
lines in some distant jungle or desert, then I could
see where you might want to take out a sentry in
complete silence. Myself, I’d prefer a silenced
9mm –something that you can own even here in
our beloved United States – but if you were
without the gun or even ammo then by all means
take out the guard with a quick rip across the
throat from behind (holding your hand firmly
across his mouth or the whole silence aspect goes
out the window).
Owning a knife is no different than a gun –
it’s a tool; nothing more. In your hands, it might
save an innocent life but there’s better tools out
there with which to practice the trade required.
