subject to consider, but just as the world’s
Muslims could not believe that nineteen Arab men
could “fool the CIA” 60 in order to pull off the
September 11 th attacks, we cannot do the opposite
and rely solely upon our government or our
military to protect us.
Ignorance, whether Arab or American, is
most definitely not a good thing. So why are we
predisposed to being ‘shocked’ when things
happen? Why are we, as a nation, so incapable of
protecting ourselves without relying upon our taxpayer
financed services? Because the fear of
aggression has become our ‘mother’s milk’. 61 We
simply aren’t reared to become ‘warriors’ anymore.
That we might actually be bred to fight is never
considered amongst even our ‘danger loving
society’. 62
We are simply so appalled at our fellow
man’s desire to terminate us that most of our
species would willingly go to our deaths than to
raise a single hand in defense of our own lives.

thing that a police officer or other public official
will tell you to do during a robbery or burglary?
