AUTHOR’S NOTES This is a book about war and battle, but not the kind that you may be thinking of. Since the storming of the American embassy in Tehran in 1979, the United States of America and its Western allies have been engaged within a war against radical Islamists who seek to dominate the world with their perverted interpretation of the Muslim religion. When they unleashed their destruction upon our shores on September 11 th , 2001, they signaled to the entire world that they sought to target innocent civilians – men, women, and children; young and old; rich and poor; religious and non-religious – wherever we may be and because of this, every single one of us have been targeted for death by those willing to die for their faith. Some of us, however, prepare to fight back. Regardless, the vast majority of our citizens are hopelessly apathetic and terminally naïve. At best, they believe that our overworked and underresourced federal and military forces have the situation under control. At worst, they believe that the Global War On Terror (GWOT) is a farce; something conjured up purely for selfish political gain. Are you prepared to hand over your safety and that of your family and friends to these wellmeaning but interminably pathetic individuals? Or are you prepared to take a stand for “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” instead of merely remaining a target?
