death beams will not subjugate the need for

or nuclear weapons but they will not be any less
motivated than those who used rocks, stones, and
longbows. The same holds true for us.
We may have legions of military forces
waging combat overseas, teams of federal agents
scouring computer communications from abroad
into the United States, and departments of police
officers patrolling our communities, but the
chances that any of them will be available for you
when the need arises are slim at best. There is thus
only one person who will be everywhere that you
are at any given moment and that is you. Your
mother won’t always be around, your spouse may
not always be available, and your taxpayersupported
services will never be quite adequate.
You are your own last line of defense.
