Erste Plätze im weltweiten Vergleich
Münchens Hauptanziehungspunkte sind mehr als in
jeder anderen Stadt Kunst und Kultur. Nicht nur diverse
Rankings internationaler Publikationen wie Monocle,
Herald Tribune oder auch der New York Times,
die dem „coolen“ und „kulturgeschwängerten“ München
immer wieder erste Plätze im weltweiten Vergleich
zuweisen, bestätigen dies. Ob in liveable cityrankings
At the top of worldwide comparisons
More than in any other town, Munich’s main attractions
are art and culture. Not only various rankings of
international publications the likes of Monocle, Herald
Tribune and the New York Times, which repeatedly
place “cool” and “culturally loaded” Munich at the top
of worldwide comparisons, confirm this. Whether it be
in the liveable city rankings or the Top 50 of all travel
destinations, in the international real estate ranking or
in international assessments of economic power and
development prospects, Munich is always among the
best in the world. Munich’s cultural offerings make a
significant contribution to this – those of the city, the
state and of private providers. And art and culture, the
profound cultural inheritance and the wide variety of
contemporary art and cultural offerings make Munich
attractive not only for millions of guests, they also
contribute to the quality of life of the people who live
here. Because if a city feels good, it does so not only
for its guests. Art and culture are not only the basis
of a city’s society, they also help make it attractive to
tourists. More than two-thirds of the visitors to Munich
from all over the world say that they planned their
trip here largely, or entirely due to the cultural offering
here.
