SEMI-HERMETIC GOELDNER-COMPRESSOR UNITS WITH LIQUID RECEIVER<br />
Our 2- and 4-cylinder semi-hermetic and open type compressor are the result of over 30 years extensive<br />
manufacturing experience in the field of compressors for refrigeration. A truly amazing feature is the silent<br />
operation of our compressors, which is achieved by a precision machining and a special way of balancing. In the<br />
semi-hermetic compressor used for high and medium temperatures, the cold refrigerant vapours are conducted<br />
about the motor wiring to cool the same. In both, semi-hermetic compressors for low temperatures and open<br />
models, the suction gases are conducted directly into the cylinders. The low temperature version of the semihermetic<br />
compressor is particularly interesting. On this version, the motor is ventilated from the outside by means<br />
of a special fan exactly in the same way as on a standard fincooled electric motor. By this method, both an<br />
efficient cooling of the motor and a higher spezific refrigerating capacity are obtained. The windings of our semihermetic<br />
motors incorporate thermistors, so that the motor is protected. If a slow heating of the winding by<br />
overload takes place, the compressor is cut off by the electronic thermal relais, which is delivered with the<br />
compressor. Our standard voltages are 220÷240V ∆/Y, 380÷420V ∆/Y, 50÷60 Hz, 3-phase current. Optional<br />
voltages are availabel at an additional cost. If the Soft-Starter is taken, the motor could be started direct and there<br />
has to be no more ∆/Y-start, with this the installation is made easier and the costs will be reduced.<br />
We recommend the use of an automatic electric heater for the housing which maintains the oil and housing<br />
temperature at +77°F to +96 °F (+25°C to +35°C) during standstill, thus preventing oil hammers. This<br />
thermostatically controlled heater which we supply at additional costs, needs only be inserted into a tapped blind<br />
hole in the bottom plate, it has no contact with the refrigerant. The 2-cylinder compressors are equipped with an<br />
oil splasher and the 4-cylinder models (form type H/O 34 on) with an oilpump.<br />
