TWO-STAGE SEMI-HERMETIC GOELDNER-COMPRESSORS<br />
HZ 22 3 - HZ 54 3<br />
<strong>Goeldner</strong> two-stage (compound) compressors are used for applications where evaporating temperatures below -<br />
50°C are required. The two cylinder model operates with one high and one low pressure cylinder, whereas the<br />
four cylinder compressors operate with two low and two high pressure cylinders. During the low pressure stage<br />
the refrigerant is compressed and following this the heat created is dispersed by means of the finned intercooler<br />
which is cooled by forced air. The refrigerant then passes through the high pressure stage before being<br />
transferred to the condenser. The division of compression into more than one stage makes it possible to cool the<br />
compressed gas between the stage and so avoid excessive final delivery temperatures. The <strong>Goeldner</strong> two-stage<br />
semi-hermetic compressors are manufactured to strict specifications, they are extremly quiet running and<br />
incorporate a high degree of standarisation to keep costs to a minimum and allow easy and economical<br />
replacement of parts. These compressors are simple and robust machines capable of running continuously for<br />
prolonged periods with the minimum of attention.<br />

MOTOR AND COOLING<br />
The compressor type HZ 22 3 isequipped with a standard motor for three phase current 230/400V, 50/60 cycles.<br />
The types HZ 34-54 are equipped with a standard motor for three phase current 400/690V, 50/60 cycles; other<br />
voltages can be supplied on request. The windings incorporate thermal switches providing an additional motor<br />
protection if overloading should occur they cut off over the electronic thermal relais. A switching frequency of 8<br />
times per hour is the safe load. The motor is cooled by forced air over a built in fan on the motor end of the<br />
compressor. The cooling air temperature should not exceed 30°C.<br />
LUBRICATION SYSTEMS<br />
The lubrication of compressor type HZ 22 3 is an oil splasher system.<br />
The standard types HZ 34-54 are equipped with an oil pump. An oil pressure safety sensor is connected to the oil<br />
pump. The pressure difference of the oil is set to 1.4+0.3 bar. The pump works independent from the turning<br />
direction.<br />
RANGE OF DELIVERY<br />
Motor compressor with discharge and suction shut off valves, gas protection charge, oil charge, built in fan for<br />
motor cooling and gas intercooling, intercooler, crank case heater, thermal relais and 4 rubber metal anti-vibration<br />
pads. Type HZ 34-54 are equipped with oil pressure safety switch.<br />
