To give an overview of the expected distribution of clearance rates across treatments, Figure
D-4 plots estimated probability distribution functions based on the posterior clearance rates and
standard deviations of four treatments. For each of 100 iterations, a sample was drawn from the
posterior distributions of both the mean and standard deviation for oral propranolol, timolol,
triamcinolone, and oral steroid. Inverse-logit transforming the normal probability distribution
function resulted in plots that integrate the residual uncertainty of the parameters with the
sampling variability of the model.
