Do you want your child to meet him and fall in love among many other<br />

eligible gods and then marry or would you rather choose Jesus as your child’s<br />

betrothed? Which of these have a greater chance of success in getting your<br />

child married to Jesus? Do you think that you will be making a mistake in<br />

taking Jesus as the future husband for your child? The argument goes on.. I<br />

refuse to take sides in this matter of marriage.<br />

<strong>Baptism</strong>, Confirmation, and Full Communion.<br />

Following this tradition, Confirmation, Reception and Reaffirmation of<br />

<strong>Baptism</strong>al Vows are essentialy encoded in all Christian traditions. The idea is<br />

that <strong>Baptism</strong>, Confirmation and Communion are not in themselves an end.<br />

They are only the means of salvation. This is a route. They also come in that<br />

order so that growing in communion with Jesus and the Church we may attain<br />

redemption and salvation. The salvificatory power does not lie in the ritual<br />

itself but in the process that if carried through would take us to the destination<br />

– which is being transformed in the image of HIS SON.<br />

<strong>Baptism</strong> and Confirmation are here considered as rites of transition. The on<br />

going communion of fellowship is the means of growth through interaction.<br />

Finally the participation in the Holy Communion act as a rite of<br />

intensification at intervals. Thus the first two are administered once in life<br />
