Eligibility criteria<br />
Applicants for the pension must fill out a form for identification and<br />
provide basic documentation. Applicants must be Cape Verde citizens<br />
living below the national official poverty line (CVE4,123 in 2007) and not<br />
covered by any other social security scheme.<br />
Eligibility reassessment (if any) Social workers verify the conditions for selection of applicants<br />
in person and a web-based application manages all the<br />
processes and procedures. 1<br />
