VPN<br />

You can use your phone’s VPN (Virtual Private Network)<br />

feature to connect to VPNs.<br />

Configuring VPN Settings<br />

Configure your phone’s VPN settings. For more information,<br />

see “VPN” on page 119.<br />

Note: You must enable at least Pattern security before setting<br />

up a VPN. If you have not yet enabled security, you’ll be<br />

prompted to do so the first time you launch VPN<br />

settings.<br />

Adding a VPN<br />

1. From the Home screen, touch Menu, then select<br />

Settings ➔ More settings ➔ VPN.<br />

2. Touch Add VPN network to set up a connection to a<br />

VPN. Available settings depend on the type of VPN.<br />

Tethering<br />

Use Tethering to share your phone’s internet connection with<br />

a computer that connects to your device via USB cable, or by<br />

Bluetooth.<br />

Note: Touch Help under Tethering settings to view information<br />

about tethering, and for links to more information.<br />

USB tethering<br />

Use USB tethering to share your device’s network connection<br />

with a computer that connects to your device via USB cable.<br />

1. From the Home screen, touch Menu, then select<br />

Settings ➔ More settings ➔ Tethering.<br />

2. Connect the other device to your device via USB cable.<br />

3. Touch USB tethering to turn tethering On or Off.<br />
