FAITH AT EVERY HOUR
“I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my
mouth.” (Psalm 33/34:1)
In all my activities and interactions with people, I rely on the presence,
guidance, and power of God. I need to let Him in, to put every situation
and relationship into His hands, on an hourly basis. “Thy will be done.”
Not mine. Not only during my brief prayer, on my knees in the morning,
when I explicitly offer my life and concerns to God and His will. But
around the clock: with my family, with colleagues at work, waiting in line
at the supermarket, conversing with others in a blog online, replying to
an email, and so on.
Let me ask myself today: Do I let God into the picture, throughout my
day? Do I sense His grace and image in other people? Do I hear God’s
voice speaking to me through other people? Today I am grateful to Him
for the beauty and wisdom He opens up to me, through other people and
various things going on in my life.
