disciplines us for our good, that we may share in<br />

his holiness.<br />

<strong>The</strong>n he goes on to explain in verse 11:<br />

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but<br />

painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest<br />

of righteousness and peace for those who have<br />

been trained by it.<br />

Please notice, it has to be exercised, we have to<br />

be trained. And so verse 12 says:<br />

<strong>The</strong>refore, strengthen your feeble arms and<br />

weak knees.<br />

Stop being discouraged, God has a purpose.<br />

Well, let’s go back to Revelation 3:19:<br />

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline....<br />

Do you know that God loves us? He loves us<br />
