<strong>The</strong>re are only two passages in the whole of the<br />

New Testament that discuss the 144,000. One is<br />

chapter 7 which we’ll do in this study and the other<br />

is chapter 14. One is in the context of the sixth<br />

seal, the other one is in the context of the Three<br />

Angels’ <strong>Message</strong>. And today we will deal with<br />

chapter 7, and I want you to look at it purely<br />

Biblically; forget your preconceived ideas. We<br />

will look at this Biblically. Now chapter 7 of<br />

Revelation is answering a question. <strong>The</strong> question<br />

is found in Revelation 6:17:<br />

For the great day of their wrath has come...<br />

Four times Paul says that the “wrath of God” is<br />

revealed from heaven when God withdraws, He<br />

gives them up. In that context, He has given them<br />

up to their own views but here is when God will<br />

withdraw His protection from God’s people and at<br />

the second coming of Christ He will withdraw His<br />

protection from the unbelievers. But now look at<br />

Revelation 6:17:<br />
