Songs, some even think it’s pornography, Biblical<br />

pornography. I would recommend to you a book<br />

that to me is the finest book I’ve ever read<br />

concerning the Song of Songs; it gives us a<br />

tremendous spiritual application. It is by a Chinese<br />

author, some of you are familiar with him, by the<br />

name of Watchman Nee. He has written a book on<br />

the Song of Songs, and just go to a Christian book<br />

store and ask them to get the book for you if you<br />

don’t have it. It’s an excellent book on the Song of<br />

Songs. Because the Song of Songs is written really<br />

for the spiritually minded people, it is God’s<br />

concern to have a close fellowship with His<br />

believers. And that is what Christ is pleading for.<br />

Now the first thing I want you to take note of is<br />

the first expression or word, “Here I am!”<br />

(“Behold” in some translations). It’s a very<br />

interesting expression. It means, “Please become<br />

aware of” or “take notice.” Take notice of what?<br />

If you look at the next statement, “I stand at the<br />

door and knock,” it sounds as if Christ is outside of<br />

you, and if He’s outside of you, it means that<br />
