the position of ‘professional<br />
organizer’.<br />
A professional organizer is a person who has<br />
above average skills for organizing material<br />
goods in a living space. It may include creating<br />
or cleaning storage space, providing systems of<br />
organization for paper files, introducing separate<br />
areas for children’s toys or hobbies, and<br />
designating spaces in the home for particular<br />
goods. It may also involve teaching skills to<br />
others, including labelling and sorting practices.<br />
People hire professional organizers to assist<br />
them in organizing their house because they<br />
experience disorganization that<br />
impinges on their lifestyle, including<br />
losing items frequently<br />
or constantly being late because<br />
of misplaced items. They may<br />
however also hire a professional<br />
organizer because they were led<br />
to believe their living space was<br />
unorganized to the point that<br />
they needed help organizing it<br />
lest they be labelled ‘disorganized’.<br />

often proclaim themselves experts,<br />
but there are larger groups<br />
at all levels dedicated to popularizing<br />
