Camping at O-Ringen City
In order to simplify the traffic
situation and minimize congestion
during O-Ringen, there are a number
of one-way sections and zones
of reduced speed. Respect these
restrictions and follow all directions
from the traffic officials. Take it
easy and show consideration when
driving, especially within O-Ringen
City itself. Keep in mind that there
is a large number of people moving
around in this area, both adults and
children. Drive safely and carefully!
The doors to the O-Ringen City campground
open on Wednesday, July 19. This is an entire
temporary city that has been planned and
prepared for several years. The camping area is
spread out on and around the Arvika airport’s
runway, with O-Ringen Square as the obvious
center.
The community feeling is an important reason
why nearly half of O-Ringen’s participants
have chosen to stay at the campground. Its
compact setup gives O-Ringen Värmland 2017
all the possibilities to create a sense of community
and camaraderie both within and between
all clubs and participants.
The campground is divided into five different
areas (A-E). These areas contain approximately
7 personal hygiene stations, where
campsite residents have access to flushing toilets
and areas for washing up and doing dishes.
If you have booked a camping spot, you
can find the location of your spot on oringen.

There are altogether 2400 camping spots,
including 600 with access to electricity. With a
few weeks to go to opening day, nearly 2100
spots have been booked.

O-Ringen City’s Bus Stop
The bus stop is located close to O-Ringen City.
There is a designated bicycle parking about 300
meters from the bus stop. If you are arriving at
O-Ringen City by car in order to get on a bus to
the arena, the distance from parking to the bus
stop is about 200-800 meters. Parking is free.

Sites with electricity
There are 600 campsites with electricity at
O-Ringen City. In order to be sure to get access
to the designated outlet, bring a 25-meter extension
cord.

Campsite distribution
You can get information about which camping
spot you have been assigned at oringen.
se from July 11.
Distribution of camping spots is done by
club, district, and country. Sites with and without
electricity are located in separate places.
That means that those who booked place with
electricity cannot live together with others in
their club. On the other hand, the internal distribution
of campsites with electricity is done
by club/district/country as well.
For extra large camping spots there is no
guarantee that you will be located together
with your club.
If you book a camping spot after June 1,
there is no guarantee that you will be located
together with your club.

Fire and safety information for
O-Ringen City
Open fires are forbidden throughout the
O-Ringen City area. Grilling can take place, but
only at the approved permanent grill locations
in O-Ringen City. Fire extinguishers are placed
throughout the area.
Think about the risk of theft and do not
leave valuables unattended.
Personal hygiene stations and showers
There are 7 different personal hhygiense stations
throughout O-Ringen City. See the overview
map for their locations. Personal hygiene
stations have flushing toilets and running water
for washing up and doing dishes. The personal
hygiene station in area C also contains showers.

Wastewater from trailers can be dumped at
the hygiene stations. RVs should do that at Ingestrands
camping about 4k south of Arvika.
Did you know that…
O-Ringen City’s campground with its approximately
2400 campsite is probably Sweden’s
largest in terms of number of sites? For example,
there are approximately twice as many
spots here as at Böda camping on Öland.
A single camping spot is approximately 81 m2.
There are approximately 2500 meters of water
and sewage hoses and one sewage tank under
ground.
Nearly 3000 meters of cable have been installed
in order to supply electricity to the 600
campsites and meet O-Ringen Square’s electricity
needs.
