Activities in O-Ringen City
Youth Tent
The Youth Tent ”Vänerhamntältet,” featuring
Wifi, games, TV, table tennis, cell phone charging
stations, etc., is located at O-Ringen Square.
This can be a fun place to hang out with your
friends and try out a number of activities.
The Youth Tent is open for all youth from 1pm
to 9pm each day from Sunday to Friday.
Every day various big and small activities will
be organized for youth between 15 and 20
years old. Great prizes will be given out! You
can take part in competitions such as “best
mistake” on Livelox, where you can get a prize
for the biggest mistake out in the woods. Several
tournaments will be organized as well. You
can read about those below.
Volleyball tournament
Assembly across from Fallängsvägen 33, about
40 minutes walking or 15 minutes biking from
O-Ringen Square.
When
Monday, July 24, 5pm-9pm. Assembly at
4:45pm.
How
You compete in teams of 6-10 players, with 6
players on the field at a time. It can be a team
from a club, district, country, or simply a group
of friends. The tournament is limited to 32
teams. The games are played to 11 points, 2
out of 3 or 10 minutes. Register at oringen.se.
Football / soccer tournament
Assembly at Viks stadium, Arvika, Blankenfjeldsgatan
2, approximately 35 minutes
walking or 10 minutes biking from O-Ringen
Square.
When
Wednesday, July 26, 5pm-9pm. Assembly at
4:45pm.
How
You compete in teams of 7-12 players, with
7 players on the field at a time. It can be a
team from a club, district, country, or simply a
group of friends. The tournament is limited to
48 teams. The games are 5 minutes, with two

Quiz Tournament
Assembly at the Youth Tent at O-Ringen
Square
When
Thursday, July 27, 7pm-9pm.
How
You compete in teams of 3-5 players. It can be
a team from a club, district, country, or simply
a group of friends. The tournament is limited
to 20 teams. Register at oringen.se.
Guided tours and
café at the Segerfors mill
Rackstad’s volunteer mill organization is open
during the entire O-Ringen week (22-28 July),
serving snacks and refreshments, showing
exhibits, and leading tours of the mill and its
surroundings.
The Segefors mill is located within walking
and biking distance of O-Ringen City (approximately
1km Northeast). Follor signs or see the
map at rackstadkvarnforening.se.

It is possible to rent bicycles at O-Ringen
Square
Radio-controlled airplane club
The Arvika model airplane club is holding
activities just south of O-Ringen Square, on
Tuesday, July 25, between 10am-4pm. Flight
demonstrations and showings will take place.
Cost: 20 SEK.
Orienteering biathlon
Among the many activities available at O-Ringen
Square is Orienteering Biathlon. We are
located on the north side of the Square, outside
the fence. We have a short orienteering
loop and shooting. Everyone is welcome to
try! Cost: 10SEK.
On Activity Day, Tuesday, July 25, between
2-5pm, a score orienteering event will be organized
with shooting as conclusion. For more

Try MtbO
On Activity Day, Tuesday, July 25, you can try
Mountain Bike Orienteering. The courses go
on nice trails around the arena Selma Spa approximately
50km from O-Ringen City. Courses
are open between 10am and 1pm. Map holders
are available to borrow. You can combine a
visit here with some nice food at the spa hotel,
swimming at Vattenlandet in Sunne, and a visit
to Selma Laferlöf’s home Mårbacka.

You can try Trail-O in Arvika at the Falleberget
arena. Trail-O enthusiasts will be present to
help you get started if you need it. Opening
hours 10am-12pm.

A Festival Atmopshere
at the End-of-the-Week Parties
Finish the O-Ringen week in the
best possible style by attending
one of O-Ringen’s legendary parties
with your friends. Celebrate a
great week of fighting in Värmland’s
forests! Regardless of whether you
reached the podium, everyone can
be proud of taking on the challenge
of O-Ringen at their own level.
For the young
Do you have some energy left after five days
in the woods? Then the youth disco is a must
for you! On Friday evening the restaurant tent
at O-Ringen City will undergo a makeover and
become a disco. Between 6 and 8:30pm the
tent belongs to those under 13, and later in
the evening (9pm-12am) the 13-17 year olds
take over. Both discos are, of course, alcohol-free.
During the evening you can purchase
popcorn, candy, and soft drinks.
For the grown-ups
The Olsson Brothers invite you to a full evening
in their fine restaurant and nightclub Olssons
Brygga, a short distance from Central Arvika.
A portion of the restaurant will be reserved
for O-Ringen participants, where you will be
served a light meal, and provide with music
and your own bar and DJ. Everything is in
place for an unforgettable evening with old
and new friends. After dinner, partygoers will
be treated to live music from two stages and a
nightclub. An extra party tent will be provided
to accommodate the O-Ringen party crowd.
This will be a preview of the big Harbor Party
that gets going the weekend after O-Ringen
moves on from Arvika and Värmland.
