PROGRAMME O-RINGEN VÄRMLAND 2017
Stage Start
If you want to pick and choose
which stages and courses to run,
then the Stage Start option is for
you. Every day a number of courses
will be available to choose from,
ranging from short and easy to long
and difficult. If you prefer to compete
and get a total time over three
or five days, then you can find the
same selection of course under the
Personal Program option. For the
Stage Start option, no total time is
computed for you.
Registration
For the first time this year, you can register for
the Stage Start option in one of the following
ways: via oringen.se, through O-Ringen’s registration
service, or at Competitor Services at
O-Ringen City. If you register through oringen.
se, you just need to pick up your bib number
(and an Punching Card if you are renting one)
at Competitor Services at the arena before you
head out to the stat.
You can also register at the “Köp start” /
“Direct entry” tent at the arena’s Competitor
Services. This may require waiting in line before
you can register. Registration is open until
1pm on each of the competition days.
Equipment
You need your bib number and an Punching
Card for electronic punching before you head
to the start.
The bib number can be picked up at Competitor
Services, either at O-Ringen City or at
the arena.
You can either rent an Punching Card or
use your own. Note that the same Punching
Card can only be used once per stage! When
you leave the arena on the way to the start,
you will pass through a control station, where
you can check whether the correct Punching
Card is registered in our system. You can also
check that ahead of time by going to oringen.
se/stamplingsbricka. For more information see
“From registration to start”.
Start
The logo on your bib number corresponds to
the start for your course. The same goes for the
finish chute: run down the chute that has the
same logo as is printed on your bib number.
You can start anytime between 8:30am and
1:30pm.
Take the correct map at the start
You can see which course you are running
both at oringenonline.se and on your bib
number.
Note that the courses Medium 3.0, Medium
3,5, and Medium 4.0 are expected to have so
many competitors that they have two variations
each. The variation that you are running
depends on whether you are competing in the
Stage Start or Personal Program classes. If you
are running Stage Start, take the map labeled
“ES”. If you are running a Personal Program and
have chosen one of the courses listed above,
take the map labeled “EU”.
Win a trip
If you complete at least three of the first stages
in the “Stage Start” or “Personal Program” options,
you can enter a competition to win a trip
for two to Alicante, sponsored by the Bergvik
shopping center. More information and rules
can be found under “Program/prizegiving”.
Personal Program
The Personal Program option allows
you to choose from a number of
pre-defined course and class packages
(corresponding to the Challenge
or Motion/Recreational classes
used in the past), or select your own
custom combination of courses to
compete on. The course options are
the same as for the Stage Start option,
with the only difference being
that you get a combined time at the
end. In addition to looking at results
for an individual stage, you can also
compare your standings with others
running the same course combination
on oringenonline.se.
You can also create a team tag to select those
you want to compare results with within the
Personal Program option. This can be done by
logging onto oringen.se/teamtag with your
reservation number. The Personal Program
option can be selected for three or five days,
and you can start whenever you like between
08:30am and 1:30pm each day. It is also possible
to select pre-defined course packages,
corresponding to the Challenge or Motion/
Recreational classes used in the past.
You can register for the Personal Program
option until 1pm on Sunday (for the 5-day
option) or 1pm on Wednesday (3-day option).
You can register via oringen.se, at the “Köp
start” / ”Purchase Start” tents at the arenas, or
at Competitor Services at O-Ringen City.
