Chapter 16<br />
The Bad News<br />
Mrs James came around to see April and told her<br />
they had a letter from the council, it was to say<br />
they are demolishing the Manor house and farm<br />
along with April’s home, this was such a shock.<br />
April was also informed of this, they put up a<br />
petition, lots of people signed it; but the council<br />
gave them a date for it to go ahead. As the bend<br />
in the road was dangerous, the house stuck out,<br />
so traffic was not visible, and accidents happened<br />
as more traffic was now on the roads.<br />
The council have been building a new estate,<br />
they offered Mrs James the first home built, the<br />
street was named Farm view after her farm, she<br />
accepted it. William told April he had seen a<br />
house he could now get a mortgage for, they<br />
went to look at it and April liked it. It needed<br />
a few repairs doing and decoration, the house<br />
had potential. So, all ended well. It was a shame<br />
about the Manor Farm as it was a very old and<br />
historic building.<br />
Soon the move came, ‘Happily’ the moves went<br />
ahead, the house was bigger than the one before<br />
luckily being as April again was pregnant, (New<br />
house new baby as they say) she soon made
