Derek Madden –<br />
General Manager<br />
Corporate Services<br />
Derek joined <strong>Cardinia</strong> <strong>Shire</strong><br />
<strong>Council</strong> in 2010, with 10 years’<br />
experience in two other Victorian<br />
local government organisations.<br />
Prior to joining local government<br />
Derek gained extensive<br />
international experience in the IT and Funds Management<br />
sectors, specifically focusing on business improvement<br />
and financial management. A qualified accountant, Derek<br />
also holds post graduate qualifications in Organisational<br />
Dynamics (MSC), Business Administration (MBA), and<br />
recently completed studies in developing digital strategies<br />
for business – leading the next generation enterprise<br />
through Columbia University New York.<br />
As General Manager Corporate Services, Derek brings his<br />
broad academic and working experience to help focus the<br />
organisation on the need to better manage resources to<br />
deliver systems and services that best meet the needs<br />
of our community. During his time at <strong>Cardinia</strong> <strong>Shire</strong><br />
<strong>Council</strong> significant Victorian and Australian government<br />
recognition has been achieved in area of digital<br />
transformation and this has allowed the organisation to<br />
continue to better match the needs of the community<br />
with its ability to deliver.<br />

Jenny Scicluna –<br />
General Manager<br />
Community Wellbeing<br />
Having worked in the local<br />
government sector for 17<br />
years, Jenny led a broad range<br />
of community services in the<br />
eastern and northern regions of<br />
Melbourne before joining <strong>Cardinia</strong><br />
<strong>Shire</strong> <strong>Council</strong> in February 2015.<br />
Jenny’s foundation qualifications are in the education<br />
sector and she is particularly interested in organisational<br />
leadership, change management and cultural<br />
development. She has recently completed a Masters in<br />
Human Resources Management at Deakin University.<br />
Passionate about supporting the health and<br />
wellbeing of <strong>Cardinia</strong> <strong>Shire</strong>’s residents, Jenny is proud<br />
to lead accomplished teams that work on the frontline in<br />
our community.<br />
