THE DAJJAL AND THE RETURN OF JESUS<br />
last ummah, and Mu}:iammad (;i) is the Seal <strong>of</strong> the Prophets.<br />
<strong>The</strong>se are some <strong>of</strong> the Prophetic guidelines, which the Chosen<br />
Prophet (;i) has showed his ummah, so that it may be protected<br />
against this mighty fitnah. We ask <strong>Al</strong>lah to save us and<br />
grant us refuge:<br />
1 . Holding fast to Islam, to equip oneself with the weapon<br />
<strong>of</strong> imdn, having knowledge <strong>of</strong> <strong>Al</strong>lah's l<strong>of</strong>ty Names and<br />
Most Excellent Attributes in which He has no partner<br />
nor shared by anyone else.<br />
Consequently, (one who knows this) will know and recognise<br />
with certainty that the <strong>Dajjal</strong> is only a man. Who eats and drinks<br />
(like the rest <strong>of</strong> the people), while <strong>Al</strong>lah, the Most Elevated is<br />
free and above all <strong>of</strong> that: He will realise that <strong>Dajjal</strong> is one-eyed<br />
and <strong>Al</strong>lah is not one-eyed; and that no one shall see his Lord<br />
until he dies, but the <strong>Dajjal</strong> will be seen by all people, believers<br />
and kdfirs alike, when he emerges.<br />
2. Seeking protection with <strong>Al</strong>lah from the fitnah <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Dajjal</strong>,<br />
especially in $a/ah (prayer) as occurs in many authentic<br />
apddith.<br />
From them is what is reported by Bukhari, Muslim and al<br />
Nasa'i, from Umm al-Mu'minin 'A'ishah (may <strong>Al</strong>lah be pleased<br />
with her), the wife <strong>of</strong> the Prophet (;i), who said that the Messenger<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Al</strong>lah (;i) used to say in his !/a/ah:<br />
