THE DAJJAL AND THE RETURN OF JESUS<br />
<strong>Ibn</strong> al-'ArabI 11 says: '<strong>The</strong> great signs that which will appear on<br />
the hands <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Dajjal</strong>, like the, descending <strong>of</strong> rain and fertility<br />
upon (the crops <strong>of</strong>) whoever believes in him, and drought upon<br />
whoever rejects him. <strong>And</strong> the treasures <strong>of</strong> the earth following<br />
him and what he has <strong>of</strong> Paradise, and Fire and flowing rivers. <strong>Al</strong>l<br />
<strong>of</strong> these are severe trials from <strong>Al</strong>lah and a great test. So the<br />
skeptics will perish and the one with certainty (yaqin) and firm<br />
imdn will be saved. <strong>Al</strong>l <strong>of</strong> these are dreaded matters, and for this<br />
reason he (~) said, '<strong>The</strong>re is no trial greater than the trial <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>Dajjal</strong>.' 12<br />

IshbllI, al-MalikI. <strong>The</strong> author <strong>of</strong> many works such as 'Ahkdm al-Qur'dn' and<br />
