2. It was also narrated from <strong>Ibn</strong> 'Umar (may <strong>Al</strong>lah be pleased<br />
with them both) that the Messenger <strong>of</strong> <strong>Al</strong>lah (~) mentioned the<br />
<strong>Dajjal</strong> to the people and said:<br />

"Assuredly <strong>Al</strong>lah, the Most High, is not one-eyed,<br />
but indeed the false messiah (al-masip al-dqjja~ is oneeyed,<br />
blind in his right eye, with his eye resembling a<br />
floating grape ... " 5<br />
3. In the lengthy l_iadith narrated by al-Nawwas ibn Sam'an<br />
(may <strong>Al</strong>lah be pleased with him) it says: the Messenger <strong>of</strong> <strong>Al</strong>lah<br />
(~) mentioned the <strong>Dajjal</strong> one morning. Sometimes he described<br />
him as insignificant and sometimes he described him as so significant<br />
that we thought that he was in the cluster <strong>of</strong> date-palm<br />
trees ...<br />
One <strong>of</strong> the descriptions <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Dajjal</strong> is that he was described<br />
as:<br />
"He will be a young man with very thick curly hair,<br />
with his (right) eye floating. It is as if he looks like<br />
'Abd al-'Uzza ibn Qatan." 6<br />
