<strong>The</strong>n the Prophet () went himself and asked <strong>Ibn</strong><br />
Sayyad. "Indeed, I am concealing something from<br />
you, (so what is it)?"<br />
He replied: "You are concealing from me a dust<br />
stricken snout (katm) 17 <strong>of</strong> a sheep (afra') and al<br />
Dukhan."<br />
He intended to say al-Dukhdn but was unable to, but instead<br />
said: "al-Dukh, al-Dukh."<br />
So the Prophet (:i) examined (and scrutinized) him in order<br />
to know the truth concerning his affair.<br />
<strong>And</strong> what is intended by al-Dukhdn (the Smoke) here is <strong>Al</strong>lah's<br />
the Sublime's statement:<br />

"<strong>The</strong>n wait you for the Day when the sky will<br />
bring forth a visible smoke."<br />
