Both al-KhagabI 8 and al-BaghawI 9 held this view. <strong>Ibn</strong> Hajr<br />

said, 'It is incumbent (to hold this view).' 10<br />

had not yet attained puberty. This reply is also substantiated<br />

by what Imam Bukhari: has reported from <strong>Ibn</strong> 'Umar<br />

(may <strong>Al</strong>lah be pleased with them both) pertaining to the<br />

incident <strong>of</strong> the Prophet (;I) departure to <strong>Ibn</strong> Sayyad - in<br />

it is his <strong>Ibn</strong> 'Umar statement:<br />

implied expression is Sahib Qatlihi , literary the holder <strong>of</strong> his slaughtering - that<br />

is - his slaughterer, and <strong>Al</strong>lah knows best. TN ·<br />
