As for the Bedouin being the majority <strong>of</strong> the followers <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>Dajjal</strong>, then this is due to ignorance being predominant amongst<br />

them. According to the l:iadith <strong>of</strong> Abu Umamah al-Bahill (may<br />

<strong>Al</strong>lah be pleased with him), the Prophet (~) said:<br />

"<strong>And</strong> Surely from his fitnah is that he will say to a<br />

Bedouin, 'Do you think that if I resurrect your father<br />

and mother for you, would you then testify that<br />

I am your lord?'<br />

He will respond, 'Yes.'<br />

<strong>The</strong>n two shaytdns (devils) will take the appearance <strong>of</strong><br />

his father and mother, and will say to him, 'O my<br />

son! Follow (and believe in) him, for verily he is your<br />

lord."' 7<br />

As for women, then their state is more severe than that <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Bedouins, because they are quickly influenced and a lot <strong>of</strong> ignorance<br />

is found in them. For in the l:J.adith <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ibn</strong> 'Umar (may<br />

<strong>Al</strong>lah be pleased with them both) who said: that the Prophet<br />

(~) said:<br />
