PLATFORM

In Station-Berlin, the sourcing

platform of IFA Global Markets

provides a strong complement to

the brand platform of IFA itself.

“We’re excited that our 4th edition is

completely sold out,” says Nils Hellpap,

Product Manager, IFA Global Markets. Last

year there were 664 exhibitors and this year,

when the numbers are released, they will

show an impressive growth.

IFA Global Markets has become the most

important sourcing platform for consumer

electronics and digital products in the

consumer electronics and home appliances

market in EMEA.

Located in the centre of Berlin, IFA’s

international sourcing

platform draws OEMs (original

equipment manufacturers),

ODMs (original design

manufacturers), suppliers,

component manufacturers and

yet-to-be-discovered brands

from all over the world.

“All the halls are sold out,

and sold out early, for several

reasons,” notes Hellpap. One

reason is that more and more

countries now participate as the

geography widens: companies

from at least 19 countries are

exhibiting. One example of this

geographical diversity is Bomare, an Algerian

manufacturer of consumer electronics which

wants to extend its success in supplying

southern Europe and MEA.

Another reason, and significant in its trend,

is that some manufacturers with brands

and stands at IFA are now taking stands in

IFA Global Markets in order to benefit their

OEM/ODM business units. A good example

would be KONKA GROUP of China.

As its role in the world of sourcing products

grows, IFA Global Markets offerings such

as Matchmaking Meetings and Expert Talks

provide a useful way for the community of

buyers to find companies, hear from peers,

and grow their expertise

a Fireside Chat to discuss the rise

of the company.

IFA Global Markets 2018

Over the past year, Wentronic has

introduced a broad range of new products

to the market, including the new Black

series of the company’s 3SIXT connection

cables, and a number of smartphone

accessories including new Bluetooth

headphones and protective accessories

for the latest Apple, Huawei and Samsung

phones.

Much of the company’s success began

with Michael’s father, founder Dietmar

Wendt, whose philosophy is still applied

today: “It’s only good, if it’s win-win”
