The WDC has undertaken detailed analysis of the travel to work patterns across
the region, in order to identify potential labour supply. This analysis will be
published during 2009 and will provide accurate data on the potential labour
supply available for inward investors to county Donegal.

To further promote and support entrepreneurship in the county Western Development Commission
WDC operates the WDC Investment Fund, which provides risk capital to
enterprises in the Western Region, including Donegal, either in the form of an
equity investment or loan. It is only available to entrepreneurs in the Western
Region.
Department of Education & Science
The primary curriculum encourages the development of a range of skills and
attitudes that would underpin entrepreneurship. At second level, the senior cycle
second level programmes promote multi-skilling through the linking of related
technical and/or business subjects, allied with a continental language, ICT and a
work experience programme (LCVP) and through an applied approach which
encourages practical community based experiential learning. (LCA).
