C. Safe & Secure:<br />
Sgt. Sylvie Henry, Chair reported that the last meeting had a good attendance.<br />
• Next meeting of the group will seek to engage ‘private providers’ on the issue of aalcohol<br />
related incidents in Letterkenny.<br />
• Voluntary Code of Practice on alcohol sales – survey of Letterkenny to see if premises have<br />
signed up to implementation. Areport will be available for the September meeting of the<br />
CSC<br />
• Underage drink report – suggesting that those convicted of drinking and driving should take<br />
part in a course before getting a licence again.<br />
• The <strong>County</strong> <strong>Council</strong> have signed off on Policy proposals to do with road safety in schools<br />
– Sean Sheridan to ask Eamon Brown to contact the Chair.<br />
• Out of Hours work being progressed with the HSE Child Care Manager<br />
• Mull na nOige, Residential facility being developed by HSE<br />
• Off street diversion activities - Ann Marie Conlon advised that Trevor Scanlon funded by<br />
Co <strong>Council</strong>, may be available to this project. She will give contact details to the Chair..<br />
D. Economic Security<br />
Sean Sheridan reported good progress:<br />
1. Develop Cross Agency approaches to data sharing:<br />
� That we understand fully how these services were developed.<br />
2. Interagency activation approach for lone parents:<br />
� Social Welfare jobs facilitation service manager is keen to lead out on this with FAS<br />
3. Rocky Town:<br />
� An Initial set of proposals is hoped to be available for next meeting.<br />
E. Information Sub-Group:<br />
Sheila Moore reported on the action plan for this Group and the following work done to date:<br />
� Audit of services for <strong>County</strong> <strong>Donegal</strong><br />
� Population Indicators for <strong>Donegal</strong><br />
� Production of a revised information booklet<br />
� Develop CSC Website – cost has been put to the Committee but nothing has as yet come<br />
back.<br />
Sean Sheridan mentioned a Tool for website development called Teamworker from Erinact – Sheila<br />
and Loretta to look at this and bring findings back to the Operations Group Meeting.<br />
Strengthening Families Programme – NW Alcohol Forum:<br />
Sarah Ward gave a detailed presentation on the Programme.<br />
• Very innovative initiative for the <strong>County</strong><br />
• It is hoped the Programme will start in September 2009, with a Group of 10 families for 14<br />
weeks<br />
• There appears to be a clear link between Strengthening Families and ION.<br />
• There is an opportunity for CSC facilitate partnerships with this programme?<br />
The Chairman thanked Sarah for such a good overview of the Programme.<br />
